Obv.: INDC XII in the center, legend partially off-center around, according to the description of the Tonegawa collection on the web. Date and mint unclear. Trent Jonson studied this same example in his “Numismatic Early Islamic” (page 181 and ff) and suggested that the indiction was XIII, with a last digit obliterated, and that the margin legend corresponded to that of the African series: INN¡NIM]RC](()¡FERTINAF. However, the star on the obverse clearly indicates its Spanish minting; it is, therefore, a unique and extraordinarily interesting example. Extremely rare. 4,20 g. MBC.
