IMP CARAVSI[VS P F AVG], radiate and draped bust right / LEG XX AVG, boar standing right; SMC. RIC V.5 2758; RIC V 275 var. (direction of boar); BM 1958,0104.7 = W. Gardner, “A Find of Coins of Carausius from the Little Orme’s Head” in NC 1956, p. 213, 80 (same dies). Dark green and brown patina, slightly off center, minor obverse die break, some cleaning scratches. VF. Extremely rare. Only four examples noted in RIC V.5.
