Anonymous. Circa 225-212 BC. AR Didrachm – Quadrigatus (20.5mm, 6.67 g, 6h). Uncertain mint. Laureate head of Janus, with slightly curved truncation / Jupiter, hurling thunderbolt and holding scepter, in galloping quadriga driven right by Victory; ROMA raised on solid tablet in exergue. Crawford 29/3; Sydenham 64d; HN Italy 334; RSC 23/24; RBW 75–6. Deeply toned with iridescence, minor metal flaws. Good VF. A very attractive coin in hand.
