INDIA, Medieval (Southern Deccan). Chalukyas of Kalyana. Uncertain ruler. Circa 973-1068 or later. AV Pagoda (14.5mm, 3.99 g, 6h). Boar/Temple type. Caparisoned boar standing left within ornate frame / Elaborately decorated temple entrance. Cf. Mitchiner, South I, 267 (Jayashima II; for type, but uninscribed); Adams –; Album 32, lot 1757. Lightly toned, hint of deposits, struck with rusty dies, hint of clipping. Good VF. Extremely rare type with the boar left.
