Publius Calpurnius. 133 BC. AR Denarius (19.5mm, 3.97 g, 9h). Rome mint. Head of Roma right, wearing winged helmet, ornamented with griffin’s head, the visor in three pieces, earring in the shape of a grape bunch, and pearl necklace, hair falling in three locks; mark of value to left / Venus, holding reins in right hand and whip in left, driving galloping biga right, being crowned with wreath by Victory flying left above, star on flank of nearest horse; P • CALP below, ROMA in exergue.
