AD 238-244. AV Aureus (20mm, 5.15 g, 6h). Rome mint, 5th officina. Special emission, AD 241. IMP GORDIANVS PIVS FEL AVG, laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust right / P M TR P IIII COS II P P, Apollo, naked to waist, seated left, holding olive branch in right hand and resting left elbow on lyre set on seat. RIC IV 102; Calicó 3221a; Hunter –; Biaggi 1366. Good VF, lightly toned, very minor obverse marks.
