ALLECTUS. Antoninian. (Ae. 4.33g / 23mm). AD 293-295 Camulodunum. (RIC 91). Anv: Bust radiated, draped and with cuirass to the right, around legend: IMP C ALLECTVS PF AVG. Rev: Pax standing on the left carrying flower and scepter, between SP, in exergue: C, around legend: PAX AVG. Extremely Fine. Beautiful specimen, very rare like that.

The usurper Elect ruled between 293 and 296 AD the provinces of Britain and northern Gaul until he was defeated by Constantius Chlorus.
