AD 402-450. AV Solidus (19mm, 3.41 g, 6h). Constantinople mint, 1st officina. Struck late AD 425-429. Pearl-diadmed, helmeted, and cuirassed bust facing slightly right, holding spear and shield / Theodosius II and Valentinian III seated facing on double throne, each nimbate and wearing consular robes, holding mappa and cruciform scepter; star above; A//CONOB. RIC X 237; Depeyrot 79/1. EF, edge clipped, indications of prior mounting, a couple tiny die breaks.
