Traces of mounting on edge. VF. Of the highest rarity, apparently unpublished and believed unique. Nicol records only two gold dinars from Tabariya for the entire twenty-five year reign of al-Hakim, dated AH 395 and 404.

Nicol 1135 (dated AH 392); cf Baldwin's Islamic Coin Auction 20 (8 May 2012), lot 396. Slightly bent. VF. Excessively rare. Nicol records quarter-dinars from al-Mansuriya dated AH 393, but lists no full dinars with this mint and date. The specimen offered in Baldwin's Islamic Coin Auction 20 is from different dies and markedly different in style, and the accompanying image is not sufficiently clear to confirm the attribution securely.

Near VF. Of the highest rarity, apparently unpublished. While Nicol records quarter-dinars of al-Mahdiya for AH 390 (Nicol 1213), this appears to be the first recorded full dinar of this mint and date.
