Griffin, with straight wing, springing left; owl seated left, head facing, on wing / EΠI ΔEO-NY-ΔOΣ around raised quadripartite incuse square; all within shallow incuse square. May, Abdera, Period IV, Group LXIV, 175 (A140/P145); AMNG II 45; HGC 3, 1137 (same dies as illustration); McClean 4001 (same dies). Minor doubling on obverse. VF. Very rare, only three noted by May (all in public collections [BM, Fitzwilliam, and Ashmolean]), none in CoinArchives.
