SIKYONIA, Sikyon. Circa 350-340 BC. AR Stater (22mm, 12.18 g, 8h). Chimaera standing left; wreath above, ΣI below / Dove flying right; A above tail, Θ below; all within olive wreath. PONTOS, Uncertain. Circa 130-100 BC. Æ (12mm, 1.75 g). Pilos decorated with star of six rays / Star of eight rays. Numismatik Naumann 96, lot 86; Pecunem 15, lot 1557; VAuctions 329, lot 133; otherwise, unpublished in the standard references. Brown patina, off center on obverse. VF. Rare.
KINGS of PONTOS. Mithradates VI Eupator. Circa 120-63 BC. AV Stater (20mm, 8.30 g, 12h). First Mithradatic War issue. In the name and types of Lysimachos of Thrace. Tomis mint. Struck circa 88-86 BC. Diademed head of the deified Alexander right, with horn of Ammon; pellet to left / Athena Nikephoros seated left; ΘEM to inner left, TO on throne; in exergue, ornate trident left. De Luca dies D3/R13; Callataÿ p. 141, dies D4/R2; HGC 7, 1931. Underlying luster, typical die wear, a couple of scratches on reverse. Good VF.

AEOLIS, Temnos. Circa 151/0-143/2 BC. AR Tetradrachm (26mm, 14.07 g, 12h). In the name and types of Alexander III of Macedon. Head of Herakles right, wearing lion skin / Zeus Aëtophoros seated left; in left field, two monograms above oinochoe within vine tendril. Price 1687; ANS inv. 1952.177.25 (same obv. die). Toned, delaminations, surface cracks. Fine.
LESBOS, Methymna. Circa 500/480-460 BC. AR Tetartemorion (6.5mm, 0.19 g). Attic standard. Facing head of satyr / Grape bunch (?) in dotted square within incuse square. LESBOS, Methymna. Circa 215-200 BC. AR Tetradrachm (33.mm, 16.81 g, 12h). Head of Herakles right, wearing lion skin / Zeus Aëtophoros seated left; in left field, Arion, holding kithara, on dolphin right above two monograms; filleted thyrsos below throne. Price –; cf.
