Attractive dark green and red-brown patina, small wax deposit. Good VF. Very rare. An excellent and attractive example.

Rough dark brown and green-blue patina. VF. Extremely rare.

Dark green and brown patina, slightly off center, minor obverse die break, some cleaning scratches. VF. Extremely rare. Only four examples noted in RIC V.5.

IMP C CARAVSIVS AVG, radiate and draped bust right / [VICTOR]I A AVGGG, Victory advancing right, holding wreath and palm frond; [S]|P//[C] (?). RIC V –; Bourne – but cf. 144 and 162 (for similar reverses). Dark green and brown patina, some roughness, minor scratches. VF. Extremely rare. Seemingly a new type for the issues ending in ‘GGG.’ Overstruck on a MARTI PACIF(ERO) type of Carausius with MART I and Mars’ hand holding the olive branch visible to the left on the reverse.

Extremely rare and unlisted in the old RIC V. A very curious coin.

Radiate and draped bust right / Fortuna seated left, holding rudder and cornucopia; wheel to left; ML. RIC V 19 (this coin cited; cites Webb); P. Webb, “The Coinage of Allectus” in NC 1906, 22 (this coin cited); Burnett, Coinage p. 37 (cited under implausible additions). Dark brown-green patina, light roughness. Near VF. Extremely rare. The only cited example in RIC V and in Webb’s 1906 catalog which both refer to this coin in Webb’s Collection at the time. Deleted from his catalog by Burnett but now once again verifiable.

Green patina, a couple of minor edge splits. Near VF. Extremely rare. A very odd and curious coin with numerous errors, including: two GG’s in the obverse legend, Laetitia with the attributes of Pax, and an odd mint mark.
