Draped bust right / Serpent, with griffin’s head and lion’s mane, coiled left. von Aulock, Pisidiens 999 = SNG BN 1430 (from the same dies as this coin). Brown patina, roughness, flan cracks, obverse die flaw. Fine. von Aulock described the reverse as a goat’s head; whatever the correct description of this rare type is, this reverse is unique to Julia Domna at Codrula. This is the second known, none in CoinArchives.
