Kings of Thrace, Lysimachos, as Satrap, AR 1/5 Tetradrachm. Struck under Kassander, in the name of Alexander III of Macedon. Amphipolis, circa 323-305 BC. Head of Apollo to right, wearing tainia / Youth on horseback galloping to right; ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ above, ΛY and forepart of lion below, trident head to right. Price -, but cf. pl. This type is unrecorded in the Price catalogue however the British Museum example which appears in the plates for entry 435 appears to have been misattributed.
