Good VF, toned, minor marks, traces of lacquer. Rare. Ex Spink Numismatic Circular CXVI.3 (June 2008), no. RM3773 (not described as plated), purchased from Seaby, 25 March 1988. Probably struck for use in the unsuccessful attempt by Vitellius’ agents to bribe the praetorian guard in Rome into betraying Otho. Description
