INDIA, Kushan Empire. Kanishka I. Circa AD 127-151. CU Tetradrachm (25mm, 16.36 g, 12h). Subsidiary mint in Gandhara (Peshawar?). Unlisted phase. Kanishka standing left, sacrificing over altar and holding standard / Miiro (Mithras) standing facing, head left, raising hand in benediction; other hand on sword; tamgha to left. MK 796; ANS Kushan –, but cf. 632 (same); Donum Burns 185 . Earthen brown patina, hard green deposits. VF. Very rare.
INDIA, Kushan Empire. Huvishka. Circa AD 151-190. AV Dinar (20mm, 8.03 g, 12h). Main mint in Baktria (Balkh?). Late phase. Nimbate, diademed, and crowned half-length bust left on clouds, holding mace scepter and filleted spear / Ardoxsho, wearing stephane, standing facing, head right, extending cornucopia with both hands; 7 to right. MK 286 (O12/R42) = BM Inv. 1879,0501.46 (same dies); ANS Kushan 749 = Adams III, lot 2123 (same obv. die); Donum Burns 263. Lightly toned, traces of double strike, reverse struck with rusty die, small edge mark. Near EF.

Huvishka, diademed and crowned, sitting cross-legged facing on clouds or mountain, head right, hand on hip, holding mace-scepter and filleted standar / [A]PΔ[OX]ÞO, Ardoxsho standing facing, head left, holding diadem and cornucopia; tamgha to left. Cf. MK 878/1 (for rev.); ANS Kushan –; Donum Burns 356. Black-green surfaces, areas of weakness. VF. Extremely rare.
INDIA, Kushan Empire. Vasudeva I. Circa AD 190-230. AV Dinar (20mm, 8.05 g, 12h). Main mint in Baktria (Balkh?). Early phase. Vasudeva, nimbate, helmeted, and diademed, standing facing, head left, holding trident, sacrificing over altar to left; filleted trident to left / OÞhO (sic) to right, Siva standing facing, holding a garland or diadem and trident; behind, the bull Nandi standing left; tamgha to upper left. MK 512 (dies unlisted); ANS Kushan 1082; Donum Burns 423-4. Lightly toned, obverse struck with worn and rusty die. Near EF.
INDIA, Kushan Empire. Kanishka III. Circa AD 267-270. CU Unit (19mm, 4.31 g, 11h). Main mint in Taxila. Kanishka standing left, holding filleted standard, sacrificing over altar to left; filleted trident to left; ga in Brahmi to right of altar; gho in Brahmi between legs; hu in Brahmi to right of scepter / Large tamgha within circular pelleted border. Cf. MK 1019 (for obv.) and 1020 ([Vasudeva] for rev.); cf. ANS Kushan 1646 (for obv.); cf. Donum Burns 653-65 (for obv.) and 727-8 ([Vasudeva] for rev.); Zeno #308174 . Earthen dark green patina. VF. Bust right, wearing diadem and mural crown with korymbos; fravahr on korymbos / Fire altar; flanked by two attendants wearing mural crowns; taurus symbol altar shaft. SNS type IIc/1b, Style P; Sunrise –. Lightly toned with iridescence, deposits in devices, some light marks. Good VF.
KUSHANO-SASANIANS. Ardaxšīr (Ardashir) (I–II). Circa AD 230-245. AV Dinar (24mm, 7.98 g, 12h). Imitating Kushan king Vasudeva I. Uncertain mint in Baktria. Early series. Vasudeva standing left, flames on shoulder, holding filleted standard, sacrificing over altar to left; filleted trident to left; triple pellets between legs; to right, rosette of five pellets above tamgha / Ithyphallic Siva standing facing, wearing belt across chest, holding a garland or diadem and trident with O on shaft; behind, the bull Nandi standing left; tamgha to upper left ; + below Nandi's head; triple pellets above Nandi's rump. MK 670; ANS Kushan –; Donum Burns –. Lightly toned, traces of deposits, obverse double struck. Good VF.
KUSHANO-SASANIANS. Pērōz (Fīrūz) II. Circa AD 303-330. Æ Unit (15mm, 2.18 g, 3h). Main mint in Baktria (Balkh?). Crowned bust right / Half-length bust, holding wreath and spear, emerging from fire altar. MK 1081; ANS Kushan 2343-9; Donum Burns 954-973. Dark brown patina, slightly worn at high points, hard green deposits. Good VF.
