EASTERN EUROPE, Imitations of Histiaia. 2nd-1st centuries BC. AR Tetrobol (14mm, 2.31 g, 5h). Contemporary imitation. Wreathed head of nymph Histiaia right / Nymph seated right on stern of galley; trident and TI below. Cf. BCD Euboia 382 (trident reversed); cf. HGC 4, 1524 (for prototype). Toned with underlying iridescence and luster, obverse die shift and die flaw, slight reverse roughness. Good VF.
IBERIA, Baesuri. 1st century BC. AR Hemiobol(?) (10mm, 0.55 g). Head of bull right(?) / Fish right; BA-E around, ΠA monogram to lower right. Unpublished, but cf. ACIP 2379 for a bronze issue with BAE and fish. Toned, some porosity. VF. Apparently unique.
GAUL, Massalia. Circa 440-410 BC. AR Obol (10mm, 0.90 g). Male head left, wearing helmet decorated with wheel of four spokes / Wheel of four spokes. F&P OBM-2a; Depeyrot, Marseille 1. Toned, light porosity, a little off center on reverse. VF.

GAUL, Massalia. Circa 125-90 BC. AR Drachm (16.5mm, 2.68 g, 5h). Diademed and draped bust of Artemis right, bow and quiver over shoulder / Lion standing left, raising foreleg; Λ below, ΛIΔ in exergue. F&P DRM-44-12. CALABRIA, Tarentum. Circa 380-325 BC. AR Diobol (14mm, 1.15 g, 10h). Head of Athena left, wearing crested Attic helmet decorated with Skylla; A below chin / Herakles standing, strangling the Nemean lion; bow-in-bowcase and club to left. Vlasto 1245–6 (same dies); HN Italy 914. Deep iridescent tone, minor die wear, edge split, numerous scratches under tone on obverse. EF. CALABRIA, Tarentum. Circa 380-325 BC. AR Diobol (13mm, 1.18 g, 10h). Helmeted head of Athena right, helmet decorated with Skylla / Herakles standing, strangling the Nemean lion; club to left, Δ between legs. Vlasto 1248 var. (K between legs); HN Italy 914. Lightly toned, porous. VF.
LUCANIA, Metapontion. Circa 330-290 BC. AR Nomos (16.5mm, 7.81 g, 9h). Wreathed head of Demeter left; [X]ƎΔ below chin / Barley ear with leaf to left; lit altar above leaf, YΛ to right of stem. Johnston Class C, 10.4 (same dies); HN Italy 1593; SNG ANS 503 (same dies). Iridescent tone, compact flan. Good VF.
LUCANIA, Sybaris. Circa 550-510 BC. AR Hemiobol(?) (9.5mm, 0.25 g, 10h). Bull standing left, head right; VM in exergue / Large M above V. Cf. S&S Class B, pl. 48, 12 (obol); cf. HN Italy 1739 (obol); CNG E-429, lot 17; CNG 109, lot 30. Toned, patches of find patina. VF. Rare. Although this reverse type is only known on obols, and no hemiobols are previously known with this type, the weight is very low for the theoretical weight of 0.40 grams for an obol at this time. There are also no apparent pellets in the field on the reverse, which are canonical on the obols.
LUCANIA, Thourioi. Circa 350-300 BC. AR Triobol (12mm, 1.23 g, 1h). Head of Athena right, wearing crested Attic helmet decorated with Skylla throwing a stone / Bull butting right; club in exergue. HN Italy –; SNG Lockett 526 (dolphin in exergue); McClean 1344 var. (same). Toned, trace deposits, a little off center, some die wear. Near VF. Extremely rare with club in exergue.
BRUTTIUM, The Brettii. Circa 216-214 BC. Æ Quartuncia – Trihemiobol (16mm, 2.65 g, 10h). Second Punic War issue. Head of sea-goddess (Amphitrite?) left, wearing crab headdress; small serpent(?) to upper right / Crab. Pfeiler p. 22, 3; Scheu, Earliest, p. 110; HN Italy 1944. Helmeted head of Ares left; two pellets to right, grain ear below / Nike standing left, erecting trophy; crescent above, cornucopia between. Scheu, Bronze 2; HN Italy 1975. Earthen dark green-brown patina, some roughness. Near VF.
BRUTTIUM, Kaulonia. Circa 400-389/8 BC. AR Third Nomos – Drachm (14.5mm, 2.20 g, 11h). Apollo advancing right, holding branch; small daimon running right on Apollo's left arm; to right, bird flying right / Stag standing right; no ground line, dotted border. Cf. Noe, Caulonia 227 corr. (bird is symbol; triobol); cf. HN Italy 2065 (same). Toned, slightly off center, some die wear. VF. Extremely rare, unlisted in Noe as a drachm, none in CoinArchives.
SICILY, Syracuse. Dionysios II. 367-357 BC. Æ Tetras(?) (20mm, 7.72 g, 9h). Griffin springing left; clouds below / Horse prancing left, trailing rein. Campana 1; CNS 1; HGC 2, 509 (all as Kainon).
