Obverse outer margin: bism ○ Allah ○ duriba ○ bi-Istakhr ○ sanat ○ thaman ○ wa 'ashrin ○ wa mi'at; no circle around obverse field. Klat 83.b; cf Wurtzel 12 (variety of mint/date legend). Toned, evenly clipped. Good Fine. Very rare. This type, which has a shortened version of the mint/date legend without the standard hadha al-dirham, is by far the rarer of the two varieties of dirham struck at Istakhr in this year and was unknown to Wurtzel.

Lion to right within square frame, governor's name around / Elephant to right within square frame, duriba - bi-'l-Mubaraka - sittin - bi-dirham ('Struck in al-Mubaraka, sixty to the dirham') around. Cf. Album B204 (a similar coin from Marw). VF. The lion on the obverse of this type refers to the name of the governor, Asad.

Citing Abu Muslim as Abu Muslim amir Al Muhammad, 'Ruler of the Family of Muhammad', in reverse margin; mint-name in third line of reverse field. Miles, Rayy 38B; Wurtzel 35; Album 208. Cleaning marks, some green deposit. Near VF. Rare.
Umayyad/'Abbasid. Glass weight (19.5mm, 2.28 g). Dark bottle green glass. Undated. 'Am[... / [unread letters]. Pressed onto a piece of glass much smaller than the stamp, hence legends largely off flan. Good VF, minor chips. Rare. It is difficult to read the second line of this weight as Arabic. Balog (Umayyad, 'Abbasid and Tulunid Glass Weights and Vessel Stamps, 808) describes a very rare glass weight on which the denomination is expressed in Coptic numerals, and it has been tentatively suggested that the second line of this piece might be something similar.
Umayyad Caliphate, Bronze coinage. Æ Half-Dirham Weight (8.4mm, 1.37 g). A small square uniface weight, the three line legend reading: lillah / mizan / waf; three small circular punch-marks in the otherwise plain reverse. Near VF.

Polyhedral Bronze Weight for 20 dirhams (21mm, 59.79 g). With six larger diamond-shaped faces, each stamped with the Seal of Solomon surrounded by eight small flowers, interspersed with eight smaller triangular faces, each stamped with the Seal of Solomon alone. VF.
Polyhedral Bronze Weight for 10 dirhams (19mm, 29.03 g). Of characteristic barrel-shape with three bands of pentagonal faceted 'birds eyes' on sides. Good Fine.
Bronze Weight for 10 dirhams (15mm, 29.06 g). In the form of a cube, each face with a large 'bird's eye' in the centre, surrounded by four, six or eight further 'bird's eyes' with matching numbers on opposing faces . VF.
Bronze Weight for 10 dirhams (16mm, 29.05 g). In the form of a cube, the top and bottom faces decorated with a shield pattern, the other four sides decorated with a simpler vertical line flanked by two conforming semicircles; edges all notched with simple cut decoration. VF.
