Half-length figure of Ba'al-Arwad right, holding dolphin in each hand / Prow of galley right; dolphin below; all in dotted square within incuse square. E&E-A Group I.2.4; HGC 10, 45. Laureate head of Melkart right, [wearing lion skin around neck] / Eagle standing left on prow; palm frond in background; to left, Πς (date) above club; monogram to right, B (in Phoenician) between legs. DCA-Tyre 290 (same obv. die as illustration); HGC 10, 357; DCA 919. Rough find patina. VF.

Toned, some roughness, minor flan flaws on obverse, a little off center on reverse. VF.

Diademed head right, wearing aegis around neck / Eagle standing left on thunderbolt; to left, Ω above monogram. CPE p. 454, 142A. For prototype: cf. CPE 142a; cf. Svoronos 265; cf. SNG Copenhagen 73. Faintly toned, compact flan. Good VF. Distinctive facial expression. This issue appears to be stylistically linked to a series of imitative issues of Ptolemy II recently studied by C. Lorber. Specifically, the obverse of this coin is very similar in style to Lorber, Mint, emission 1 tetradrachms (= CPE Ptolemy II mint 23).
