Pre-reform issues, Arab-Byzantine. Standing Caliph coinage. Æ Fals (21.2mm, 3.00 g, 6h). Filastin mint. Caliph standing facing / Large M above exergual line; mint-name written vertically to left. Goodwin 1-9; Album 3545. Overstruck as a post-Reform fals (apparently 'common plain' type as Album 153), but with figure of caliph and original mint-name of undertype clearly visible. VF. Rare and unusual.
