Head of Hermes right, wearing petasos with pelleted rim / Goat standing right; to right, ivy leaf within crescent facing right; all within incuse square. THRACE, Ainos. Late 4th century BC. AR Diobol (11mm, 1.26 g, 2h). Unofficial/barbarous issue. Head of Hermes right, wearing petasos with pelleted rim / Goat standing right; ivy leaf to right; all within incuse square. May, Ainos, Appendix C, 5; AMNG II 297; cf. HGC 3, 1274 (for prototype). A little roughness, some porosity. Good VF. Well centered.
