EARLY SKYTHIANS. Anonymous. Late 2nd-early 1st century BC. AR Drachm (16mm, 2.22 g, 8h). Imitating an Aï Khanoum issue of Antiochos I. Diademed head right / Horned and bridled horse's head right, with braided, flame-like forelock; trace of Δ in circle to right of neck. Senior –, but cf. A.14-15 (for other Seleukid imitations); cf. SC 431.3; cf. SMAK A1DH-2–3 (both refs for prototype). VF, traces of find patina, obverse struck with heavily worn die.

KHWAREZMIA, Afrighids. Kanik. Second half of 7th century AD. CU Drachm (31mm, 5.32 g, 5h). Crowned and diademed bust right / King on horseback right, holding whip; tamgha to left. Vainberg Г IV/8; Zeno 124636. Near VF, brown surfaces, once cleaned now retoning, a couple of flan cracks.
