Head of Africa right, wearing elephant's skin headdress; stalk of grain to right, plow below / Hercules standing facing, with hand on hip, leaning on club draped with lion's skin and set on rock. The Triumvirs. Mark Antony and Octavia. Summer-autumn 39 BC. AR Cistophorus (26.5mm, 11.54 g, 12h). Ephesus mint. Conjoined heads right of Mark Antony, wreathed, and Octavia / Dionysus, holding cantharus and thyrsus, standing left on cista mystica, flanked by interlaced serpents. CRI 263; Sydenham 1198; RSC 3; RPC I 2202. VF, toned.
The Triumvirs. Octavian. Autumn 31-summer 30 BC. AR Denarius (19.5mm, 3.81 g, 4h). Italian (Rome?) mint. Bare head right / Victory standing left on globe, holding wreath and palm frond. CRI 406; RIC I 254a; RSC 65. VF, lightly toned, a couple of bankers' marks on obverse.
Augustus. 27 BC-AD 14. AR Quinarius (12mm, 1.63 g, 10h). Emerita mint; P. Carisius, legatus pro praetore. Struck circa 25-23 BC. Bare head left / Victory standing right, placing wreath on a trophy consisting of helmet and cuirass; dagger and curved sword at base of trophy. RIC I 1b; King 4; RSC 387. VF, toned, deposits.
