Cross ancrée wtih large annulet at base; pellets around / Small cross pattée with additional arms curving around to form a swastika-like pattern; pellets in quarters and at end of each curving arm. Cf. NM 5-7 (for type); cf. Belfort 3538-45 (same); MEC 1, –. VF, toned, some porosity.
MEROVINGIANS, Poitiers. Circa 700-725/35. AR Denier (11mm, 1.15 g, 6h). Uncertain moneyer, after a type by Aribaldus. Radiate head right / Cross of St. Radegunda. Cf. NM 6 (for type); cf. Belfort 3601 (same); MEC 1, –. VF, areas of toning, some porosity.
CAROLINGIANS. Uncertain king. Late 8th-9th century. AV Fourrée Solidus Mancusus (20mm, 2.84 g, 6h). Imitating an uncertain mint issue of the 'Abbasid caliph al-Rashid, possibly dated AH 190 (AD 805/6). Uncertain (possibly northern Italian) mint. Cf. Rare and an attractive example.

Dated AH 46(?) in Pahlavi (AD 666/7). Crowned Sassanian style bust right; Allah walla 'awn, bismillah, and rabiin Arabic in outer margin / Fire altar flanked by attendants; star and crescent flanking flames; darb al-muharraqin Arabic in outer margin. SICA I, – ; Walker, Arab-Sasanian –; Album 76.2; ICV 71; Baldwin's Islamic Auction 16, lot 10 (same obv. die). Good VF, toned, edge chip. Very rare.
ISLAMIC, Umayyad Caliphate. 'Abd Allah ibn al-Zubayr. Rival Caliph, AH 60-73 / AD 680-692. AR Drachm (30mm, 4.04 g, 12h). Arab-Sasanian type. DA + P (Fasa) mint. Dated YE 53 in Pahlavi = AH 65 (AD 684/5). Crowned Sasanian-style bust right; bismillah in Arabic in outer margin; triple pellets flanking lowest star-in-crescent / Fire altar with ribbons and attendants; star and crescent flanking flames; p in Pahlavi to left of upper star-in-crescent. Album 16; ICV 13. Good VF, traces of deposits at edges.
