Good VF, toned.Ex Numismatica Ars Classica 78 (26 May 2014), lot 321.Imitations of Rhodian drachms of this type are quite common. While the present piece is of a known magistrate and symbol, the style is completely foreign to official Rhodian issues, and thus must be one of the imitations. Richard Ashton has written over a dozen articles on many of these, but the present variety has not yet been studied.
