VF, edge split. Overstruck on an issue in the name of the Brettii (cf. SNG ANS 44ff and lot 15 above), with traces of eagle's head and reverse legend visible below the head of Apollo. RPC I 2397. Near VF, attractive green patina. Extremely rare, with RPC citing just one example (of which the obverse legend was unknown due to its poor condition).
