Struck circa 1030. + ΠΑΡΘЄΝЄ CΟΙ ΠΟΛVΑΙΝЄ, the Theotokos Hodegetria, wearing tunic and maphorion, standing facing on suppedion, holding the Holy Infant with left hand and resting right hand on breast; M and Θ, both with macron above, flanking across upper field / ΟC ΗΛΠΙΚЄ ΠΑΝ ΤΑ ΚΑΤΟPΘΟΙ, crowned facing figure of Romanus, standing facing on suppedion, wearing loros, holding long patriarchal cross in right hand and patriarchal globus cruciger in left. DOC (3b.1); SB 1822. Toned, flan crack, scratches and marks. Good VF. Very rare.
