Aureo & Calicó, S.L. - Auction 427 . 325
Almoravids. AH 493. Yusuf ibn Tashfin. Qurtuba (Córdoba). Dinar. Unprecedented. Neither Vives nor Hazard record a Cordoban dinar of this year, in both catalogs there is a hiatus between AH 492 and 496. But an even more extraordinary detail of this piece is its date: "fi Shawal sanata..." (in [the month of] Shawal of the year...). Curiously, the very rare known cases that cite the mint month are also found in Cordoba and within this three-year period with no "normal" examples in the catalogs. Extremely rare. 4,11 g. EBC.*This item cannot be exported (it has been declared BIC).
Aureo & Calicó, S.L. - Auction 427 . 446

The first gold coinage of the Andalusian Caliphate and the first dinar in which Abd al-Rahman III proclaimed himself “Nasir Ladin”, “Protector of the Faith” or “Caliph. The bismillah begins at 9 o'clock. Very rare. 3,93 g. MBC+.*This item cannot be exported (it has been declared BIC).

Caliphate. AH 404. Sulayman (2nd reign). Al Andalus. Dinar. (V. 801) (Prieto 33). Obv.: @Ån. Rev.: @?cv! ®? / @{8z. This coin, although engraved in the name of Sulayman, was probably not minted directly under his authority but by one of the unknown figures whose name appears on the IA. As such, they should be considered, as Prieto does, more Taifa coins than Caliphate coins. We only know of one other dinar and two dirhems, the four correspond to different dies with floral ornaments of very different styles.. Extremely rare. 3,78 g. MBC.
Aureo & Calicó, S.L. - Auction 427 . 447

Caliphate. AH 334. Abd al-Rahman III. Al Andalus. Dinar. (IV Jarique page 37, no. 3, same example). Rev.: @{8z. The double line of legend in the margin of the obverse of this example is a unique case in the dinars of al-Andalus. Poorly struck in a part that does not affect the reading of the data. 4,11 g. MBC+.
