Taifas. Fas, after the Cordoba revolution. AH 410. Mu'izz Ibn Ziri, in the name of ¿Mansur?. ¿Madinat Fas?. Dirhem. (Prieto "Suplemento" 76, same example). Rev.: C?RÅz. If the mint is really Fas, "Mansur" could be the laqab adopted by Al-Mu'izz. Almudena Ariza, on the other hand, believes that it could be Muansar ibn Muiz, and that his coin recognizing Imam 'Abd Allah could be indicative of a rebellion against the authority of his cousin al-Mu'iz ibn Ziri (quoted by David Francés and Federico Benito in MANQUSO 13, page 171). The early use of the generic term 'Abd Allah as Imam is specially interesting in this coin, since it's a probable symbolic reference to the Abbasid Caliphate. Rare. 5 g. MBC.

Caliphate. AH 401. Sulayman (2nd reign). Al Andalus. Dirhem. (V. 713) (Fro. 132 sim). Obv.: @{8z. Rev.: @?cv! ®?. The poor minting and horrible calligraphy of Sulayman's coins for AH 401 is probably due to the sudden loss of his mint with the looting and destruction of Medina Azahara by his own disgruntled troops the previous year. Perhaps because of this, Prieto (no. 49) assumes several Sulayman pieces of this period to be fake, surprisingly, he catalogs them as "false dinar", an obvious error. Extremely rare. 3,54 g. MBC+.

Almohad taifas. Anonymous, attributed to the Banu Hud. Mursiya (Murcia). Dirhem. ("Murcia musulmana" 112) (Medina 225) (Hohertz 699). Medina attributes this coin to Muhammad ibn Yusuf, who revolted against the Almohads in AH 625, it seems to be an issue of this same year, because the following year he ordered the minting of a round coin with its laqab al-Mutawakil..
