After Alexander's death his empire was pulled apart between the various successor kingdoms led by his generals, with territories, cities and mints changing hands frequently, especially in Asia Minor. Thus, depending on when and where this type was struck it could have been under the Seleukids, the Antigonids, or the Ptolemies, however at present these important details remain unknown.
