In 1908, an actor series was held in Zaragoza to commemorate the sites suffered by the city a century earlier, during the War of Independence. An international event of the first order, known as the Hispano-French exhibition. In addition to inviting a rapprochement between the two neighboring countries, this exhibition gave an important economic boost to the economy of the entire region since some five thousand exhibitors were established, from both countries, destined for agriculture, food, mechanical industries. and manufactured products. The success of the public, with more than half a million visitors, led to the extension of the event for two months and led to the visit of the monarchs on several occasions.
