P. Carisivs was the propretor of Augusta. There are up to five types of denarii on which your name can be read. The types are differentiated by the backs, which consist of different military trophies or weapons with the exception of a series where the door of the city of Emerita is represented. With regard to the portrait of Augustus, it is likely that he is the emperor with the greatest stylistic variety of portraits, although he always retains the general idea of presenting him with a heroic point and care that resembles the treatment that Hellenism reserved for its demigods.
